Clear space, clear mind. Easier said than done sometimes, isn’t it? But this totally resonates with me! I remember years ago I was on a call with my business coach, and we talked about little ways to calm a day. Y’all know real estate is more than opening a door and showing up at a closing table. I needed some solutions to managing the chaos between those two milestones. If I can’t sneak off to my favorite waterfall at Lake Keowee or take a nap, my other go-to is cleaning out my car. By car, I mean my office on four wheels.
Not only is my car a haven for Transformer toys, soccer cleats, and a worn-out Mary Poppins DVD, it is also home to my business. When I can drop off that box of donations, put my work boots in their place, get the sledgehammer into its designated compartment, and return any lockboxes that disappeared under a seat… wow. What a reset! It’ll last until about 4pm when I pick my kids back up, but for those couple hours, I can move forward with more focus.
If you need help creating a clear space, check out the insert in this letter. There are some great ideas posted here. I also found extra motivation watching the Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo or Get Organized with The Home Edit. These are fun to watch while you work on your space.
Do you need a real live person to come by and advise you on how best to organize, declutter, or reclaim a space? I have some local referrals I’d be happy to share with you! From organizing garages in Seneca to whole-home makeovers in Westminster or Walhalla, there are some great people out here in the Upstate South Carolina community who can help.
Shoot me a text and I’d be happy to send you their number!
As always, I love to hear from you. Stay in touch!
